Tony Smith is a men’s ministry and youth leader at Calvary Chapel Ellicott City in Maryland. He is a Bible teacher and discipleship leader who has spent more than seventeen years guiding men and youth through Scripture with clarity, depth, and faithfulness to God's Word. His teaching ministry grew from a desire to help believers engage the Bible beyond topical studies and personal opinion, equipping them to understand Scripture in context and apply it with obedience and maturity.

Exploring Ezra was born out of Tony's search for a Bible study that balances deep Biblical exploration with meaningful application, particularly for group settings. Known for his pastoral heart and Scripture-first approach, Tony encourages believers to prepare their hearts, seek God through His Word, live out what they learn, and teach others to do the same. Exploring Ezra is the first study in a planned series of Scripture-centered guides, with a companion study on Nehemiah currently in development. He currently lives in Maryland and enjoys mentoring, teaching, and sharing his love for Scripture within his local church.
